Default Brake Light Switch 2008 F-150

Anybody have issues with this? I have a 2008 F-150 with no brake lights. Replaced all bulbs and even the brake light on the cab is not working. Is there possibly a fuse I should check?

Check in your fuse box on passenger side under the dash. Owners manual or google should say which fuse is for brake lights

It's been posted at least 4 times by me on 4 different threads on how to obtain a free owners manual within the past two weeks, but I'll guess it's worth repeating again:

I guess I'll create a sticky on this, but it will most likely get passed by there as well.

If it's not the fuse, then check the trailer wiring connector on the lower left hand side of your rear bumper for any possible shorted wiring (doubtful, unless you do have a blown fuse). Also examine the brake switch located near the top of the brake pedal shaft.

it was the brake switch in mine, one of the prongs was bent and burnt a little bit.

I figure I am going to meet a buddy here in an hour and try his test light on the fuses. This wears me out, I love this 2008 F150, it is my second one. Well on way home last night, I get stopped for no brakelights by texas dps and I was shocked since I had just replaced all tail lights this past friday. I even showed him the receipt. His response is step out back to rear of truck and let me show you, he steps on brake pedal and nothing. He loaned me his flash light and I look at fuses and all looks normal. check owners manual for any fuse related to lights and they look normal. nothing burned, nothing missing, so I think next step is brake light switch?

well I found one bad fuse which had zero to do with the brakes. So I buy a brake light switch from O'reilly auto parts and its the wrong one....
