how to drain radiator fluid on 99 f150 4.2l v6.... just looked in it today yea totally looks like straight mud thats it hahahaha

i am sure its the same for a 99 and a 98. on my 98 on the lower passenger side of the radiator you will see a white plastic petcock drain for it. loosen it and hopefully it'll run out. i didn't bother changing the block though from the sounds of yours you may need a complete flush as well.

From the sounds of how cruddy it is you should just skip the draining stuff and go get the system flushed. It needs it, the coolant should be bright green in Fords. But if you insist on just draining it try the plug thing, tho it will take a while to drain. Or just pull off the bottom radiator hose. Either way take of the rad cap to let air into the system, and when you fill up again you will have to go thru a few heat cycles and top off the coolant a few times once all the air bubbles get out of the system.

ok cool ima do that... what is the best kind of anti freeze to get for my truck and how much do i put in it.... could i run water in it for like 30 min to try to possible get rust and mud and dirt loosened and drain it again than fill it up

use distilled water. anti freeze is antifreeze. 50/50 mix is what youre gonna wanna run. buy the pure anti freeze that isnt mixed and mix it yourself

you say it looks like mud...are you sure its not oil in your coolant? might wanna look into that.

Wouldn't hurt to check for combustion gases in the coolant either.
