Hi, Im new here, been looking around for a few weeks.

I have a 2006 Screw 4wd, I am getting a slight vibration between 50 and 55mph. This can be felt mostly through there steering wheel.

I have only had the truck for a few weeks, Im thinking it may the the tires. Any thoughts?

First thing I would do is check tire balance, thrown wheel weight, defective wheel(s), test suspension (bounce the bumper, check for hydrolic fluid leaks from shocks).

Could also be plugs/coils, hesitation manifesting as a vibration at those speeds.

Just my 2 pennies.

one of three things almost guarantee...

1) have you used your parking brake lately? it could be sticking
2) misfire... spark plugs or COPs
3) shaking bed... is the bed visibly shaking at this speed, when you drop the tailgate a bit when parked can you feel the vibration in the bed? (still no fix that I know of)

I had the same issue and I had a tire shop balance my wheels/tires and the problem got better but still was there. Then I went to another shop after 2 weeks and got it balanced again and aligned to make sure and it is not noticeable at all but if you still have the issue it might be your ball joints giving out and giving that loose space travel in your wheel which I will have to do soon, how many miles do you have?

Have you hit anything on the bottom of your truck lately? Even a small dent to your drive shaft will cause a vibration. Make sure none of your wheel weights have fallen off.

Thats true , you can get your drive shaft balanced too
