Default 0% interest on 2011 F-150???

Does anyone have info/opinion on if or when Ford will do 0% interest? I really want a '11 F-150 and 0% would make the deal even sweeter.

Thanks

Bought a 2011 XLT 2 weeks ago. I got 3.9% but they discounted the price an extra $1000 if I financed with them.

The 0% ended at the end of January, at least in BC Canada. Now they have some fairly big rebates instead.

I'm sure it will come around again.

For reference, 0% in lieu of rebates is generally bad idea. You'll come out cheaper taking the rebates. I just bought a new 2011 at 3.25%. Do the math and you'll see.

yea 0% really doesnt allow u to utilize all the rebates
as long as u have decent credit, getting a 4% loan would serve you alot better

Well I got 0% and invoice plus $500 on the truck. And 20% off any options as well eg. EB, camera, rear step, running boards etc. $1000 Costco rebate and $1000 Ford rebate (at the time)

Overall best deal I could get in Vancouver Can.

Vehicle loan interst rates are generally higher than 3.25% here as well

If I may ask, what could you have gotten in rebates if you had not used the 0%?

I see what you guys are saying. I guess it really depends on how good you are at negotiating with 0%. I did the numbers both ways with rebates w/2.99% (because that's what I can get) and the rebates route is slightly cheaper. The problem is when you are given a choice btw 0% and a big rebate. Saying you want 0% and then trying to negotiate more than the rebate will probably be difficult. I can just see the salesman saying "well if you want 4500 off msrp, then let's do the rebate route" This will only be my second new car so I may be way off. Someone correct if I am.

This whole rebate vs 0% is interesting and if someone can explain it better, please do.

There were no big rebates available at the time so grinding on the price and 0% were the best way to go. Remember this is in Canada.......so it's a bit different than what you get in the States.
I don't think there's a big difference in what you pay in the end if you choose rebates or 0% interest. Obviously it depends on how much you borrow, for how long and at what interest rate. Getting a good price on the truck and borrowing someone else's money for free seemed good to me.

Cheers,
