to my knowledge there is no such thing as a coolant filter in the 5.0, or any other motor in an F150 for that matter.

There are coolant filters on the bigger diesels, like in dump trucks, graders.etc..but none to my knowledge on any light/heavy duty pickup.

The main purpose of the filters in big rig applications is to keep the sca level current. Diesel engines are notorious for cavitation problems, this is not the same as electrolysis in gas engines.

What they said.......Pretty sure you can get an aftermarket coolant filter kit and install it yourself though.

Mitch is right, I am 100% agree with your statement about it. Main purpose is its filters which is very big rig applications which is to keep the sca level current. There may be problem with the diesel engines which are notorious of cavitation.
