Default Adjustable Brake and Gas pedal Issues

My adjustable brake pedal on my Ford f-150 Lariat is not working properly. The gas pedal will move up and down. The brake pedal will move out about 1" then stop. When I lower the pedals, the brake pedal will move back to the home position about one inch, the same distance that it traveled down. I notice there is a cable runninf from the brake side motor to the gas pedal. It sounds good on the way out but when it starts back to the highest position, it sounds kinda rough, ANY HELP ON THIS PROBLEM WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
I hope it is something that I can fix.

Thanks,
Freddie

Default No Cheap fix

Sorry Freddie, Ford wants $505.00 for a brake pedal assembly. They do not sell just the adjustable cylinder. Try a junk yard. BTW . . . the "cable" that goes from the brake pedal motor to the gas pedal motor is the electrical connection between the two.
