There should be a tag on the back of the axle it will have numbers like 9 75 3l 55 or 8.8 3l 55 or 8.8 3l 75. It might not have the " L " in the middle. The 9.75 or 8.8 is the ring gear size and the second set of numbers is the ratio. If yours is missing the tag you can count how many times the drive shaft turns compared to 1 turn of the rear tire. 3 and 1/2 turns is a 3.55 3 and 3/4 turns of the driveshaft is a 3.73 and 4 and 1/10 turns is a 4.10 or 4.11.

No Pain, No Pain!
Or, you can check the sticker inside your driver's side door, find the axle code and look here:

Your Owners Manual Will Tell You As Well. Rear Axle Ratio Doesn't Matter Weight. It's Not What You Can Pull Anyway. It's Rated On What You Can Safely Stop.... Your Truck Is Probably Rated To Tow Round 6000 Pounds. Look At Your Door Sticker For Gvwr That Is What You Can Carry. Weight Of The Truck Is Included Though So You Have To Factor That In.
