Default Clutch Fluid Reservior

Hey,
This may seem like a really stupid question. I have never owned a truck with a manual tranny with a hydraulic clutch before. Mine is seeping from where the line connects to the slave cylinder. My question is this, how full should the reservoir be? I don't see a fill line. All the cap says is fill to step. also it is a 1998 F150 STX. Right now it is sitting at where the reservoir expands from the smaller part to the larger part. Picture would be great if possible. I am auto smart just never ran into this before and can't find the answer.
