Default Start problems NSS(neutral safety switch)??

Hello , I am new to the forum and I have a question regarding replacing the neutral safety switch. I have come across several references to a specialized tool but have no ideal what it is or where to get one. Can anyone tell me?My Ford F150 Lariat starts but not without playing with the shifter, this can take some time. Which lead us to believe the neutral safety switch was bad. It has a 5.0L engine and a E4OD auto transmission. Any tips would be appreciated.

Default nss

I had the same problem on my ford motor home, I had to crawl under it and reset the plastic electrical bracket on to the switch.

Default setting up pnss

If you loosen the switch you will notice a small hole in the housing. Inside the housing there are a series of discs that have to line up. Take a small drill bit (#43) the same size as the hole and insert it into the hole shank end first now move the sensor back and forth until you feel the drill bit slide all the way in through all of the discs. now the sensor is lined up. Tighten the nut back up. I believe you do this with the shifter in either park or neutral. You may also have to remove the switch, clean it and remount it, witch requires you to remove thlinkage nut and linkage.
