For the past few months, my security alarm has seemed to be real sensitive. Any little thing sets it off into panic mode: Motorcycle drive by, another truck starting up next to it etc. It wasn't that way when I got it. Nobody else's vehicles alarm goes off in situations like mine. I called the Ford dealer and asked them about it and all they said was bring it in and we'll look at it. It's getting to the point where I sometimes don't even lock my truck cuz I know something dumb is going to set off the alarm. Any suggestions what's wrong or anyone else experienced this problem? It's driving me crazy!

That's strange! I haven't experienced that with my 06. The only "electrical" problem I'm experiencing is that my key fob battery dies about every 2-3 months.

Yeah, I thought it was weird too. I don't know what would cause it to be so sensitive all of the sudden. It really wasn't like that when I got it.

I have an 06 with the same problem. The other day at work the horn was going bonkers in the parking lot and I looked outside and it was my truck. It will also honk out of the blue, seems like every 4 hrs or so, I thought it might have been the key fob battery so I changed it and it is still acting weird. No Idea what is going on. I bought the truck used so I'm not really sure what type of alarm is installed if it is factory or aftermarket.
