jerking on acceleration at low RPMs

jerking on acceleration at low RPMs
I have a 2004 F150 crewcab 4X4 Lariat 5.4 that when it shifts up into overdrive and you mash the gas down slightly instead of good strong pull it starts a jerking motion until you press the gas hard enough for it to gear down. Any ideas on what that might be? cvine1

I have that situation, sort of, from a stop. I was told it was the fly by wire setup. The throttle. detent for the transmission is all electronic. Your gas pedal is really a potentiometer that varies a signal to the computer. An Edge Evo might take care of the problem.

Check the very back coil pack wires on passenger side. i had one of these wires that had rubbed through against the metal AC hose. its very hard to see unless you kinda twist it toward you and make sure its not arking. i twist tied and capped mine back together...just a thought!

Ok i took the truck in today and the dealer said it was the left rear speed sensor, He said this would cause it to run jerky like that. Is this posible?
They had to order the sensor and put it on tomorow. I will let you know how it turns out

Ok yeah let me know if the speed sensor solves the problem. I took mine to a mechanic and he told me it was probably some water that got down around the plugs, boot, and packs. He suggested changing sparkplugs, boot, and getting all 8 coil packs out and drying them out.

Ok. I took the truck back to the dealer for the speed sensor. It did not fix the bucking. but it did fix the abs light that was on.
They told me that it fixed the bucking and the truck ran fine now.
I havent called them back because i told theme three times how to drive the truck for it to start bucking, And it bucks every time you get up to 42 or hirer and then accelerate as if your passing someone.
I guess i need to change plugs, boots and springs.

2004 F150 jerking on accelerate
the day i test drove my used F150 it did this. I immediately told the salesman riding with me, no i don't want this truck. Next day he called me told me there was a plastic gear or something in the drive train that had a recall or a tsb on it. i went back after they replaced this and haven't had any trouble.

Have you changed your plugs, boots and springs yet? It sounds like your having the same problem i am having, If so, did it fix it?
I changed my fuel filter today, still have the bucking (jerking).
