OKay hello first time post....So parked my truck my truck and noticed I was leaking red fluid like crazy, I took a look under the truck and can not determain where its coming from, I checked the tranny fluid and it was not low and then checked the power steering fluid and that also is not low. Im teriffied its tranny fluid so I will not drive it. The power steering feels fine and the tranny shifts 100%..

Am I missing something??

Welcome to the site! Chock the wheels, start the engine and climb under the truck to see if you can tell where it is dripping from. You might have to get it up to temp to get it to start leaking. Thats how i leak test stuff at work.

The transfer case also uses "red fluid" Dexron II or III IIRC. You might have to take it to a self serve carwash where you can clean the underside very well. Then take it for a drive to for a mile or so and look underneith. If you don't see any tell tale fluid drive it for two miles and repeat.

Good call on the t-case. I forgot they used atf in those cases.

Im a bit scared to take it down the road if it is tranny fluid leaking. I really dont want to blow it. This truck has 208,000 mi and I really want to see how far I can take it on all orginal equipment I dont want to F it up. Is it safe to idle the truck or drive?

Yes if the fluid is not pouring out of it. You will need to idle/run it to locate the leak if its doesn't leak without the engine running.

alright. It may be coming from around the tranny cooler cuz i think the fan is blowing it all over the place.

1996 Redneck F150

my brother in law had a f150 with a I6 and a automatic tranny, 2wd... we were coon hunting in the mountains and noticed the tranny started slipping like crazy.... i was like hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... we managed to get it home that night.... so i crawl underneath the truck the next day, and noticed that some kinda hose blew a hole in it and was leaking our automatic trans fluid everywhere.... you might be having the same problem... i forget where the hose was because this all happened about 3 years ago lol from what i can remember, it wasn't expensive to fix and it wasn't that hard either....
