Default converting '14 to HID's?

Guys, i'm looking for a new '14 Lariat this July. Being I'm looking for a deal, I may have to forgo some of my options. I've been online checking local dealers and the HID's seem to be on the higher trims only. How hard and how much $$$ to convert over to HID's? Does the dealer have to reprogram the truck? I may even see if they'll convert the truck as part of the new sale deal. But I need to know how much it's worth.

In 2014 the HIDs are available on the XLTs. If you buy one without them you can buy them for around a grand with harnesses.

Yes, OEM parts:

Not anywhere as good as modified / improved OEM parts, however (EVOX-R projectors, and CBI's, etc). For very little more.

Vendors here offer those services - bilinvic Retrofits, tuxedoblack11, sdatrlp23 ... all do fantastic work.

Ouch, pretty spendy vs $507 dealer "invoice" when ordered as standalone option rather than part of higher trim pkg...

Everything is more expensive when you add it after it's built

I was just messing around on the build a 2014 F150 site. Although it shows the HIDs as a stand alone option when you choose the HIDs it bunches in other options along with the HIDs. That usually adds another $1k - $2k or more plus the cost of the HIDs.

Its a separate option on FX @ $595/$507 in combo w/ 401A pkg (cloth seating) whereas included as part of 402A pkg (leather plus other hi-zoot stuff). I ordered mine w/ 402A...
