Best Tires
I know there are a lot of posts about tire sizes, but I don't see too many about kinds or tires. I'm lookin at puttin a 2.5in levelin kit on my 05 XLT 4x4 and want to know what a good aggressive lookin tire is that I could put on my truck. I'm want to run 35s on an 18in wheel. I want the most aggressive look, but nothin that's gonna wear too quickly on the highways.
Thanks in advace,

Here's a good thread on some tires. Everyone has an opinion on what is the "best" tire, it just depends on what you need them to do. For tough looks and good on the highway I would go with an A/T. BFG is really good tire but cost is higher than the Nitto. https://www.f150forum.com/showthread.php?t=13598&highlight=tires

Bridgestone Dueler Revo 2
Taking off my OEM 275/65/18 Goodyear wrangler AS tires. Pulling my 25ft Baja outlaw they are TERRIBLE! Looked at www.tirerack.com and they get the highest review on the site and many others. Not agressive, heard they are very low noise on the highway (I do not off road so wet roads are my concern, cornering pulling the boat on and off ramps). Anyone have these? Going to see a set tomorrow (hoping they will fit without lifting my stock 2010 F150 xlt lariat SCREW 4x4? Everyone gets a tire that fits their need per say (just sold my F250 with 35 Toyo's and all that-had the dreaded 6.0 in it!). Went back to classy and functional and trying to keep good gas mileage while maintaining safety! (but still have the lifted Jeep for fun!).

Haha Yeah the Ford Dealership's parts & service dept. about crapped their pants when I said I wanted Hankooks. They were trying to push Goodyears on me. NOW they say they will recommend the tires after they experienced them.
I informed them that Hankook MT's are used by both Toyota rock crawling teams and jeep enthusiasts. If they can stand the abuse of the rocky trails they will hold up on the pot hole riddled roads of PA.
These Hankooks were $245 EA installed. The BFG's were $269 Ea installed. The Hankook's came with a $100.00 rebate and the BFG's didn't have a rebate at this time. Check out your Ford Dealer soon to get the rebate deal if you want it.
(4) Hankooks - $1038.00 w/ PA 6% tax - 100.00 = $938.00 OTD
(4) BFG - $1145.00 w/ PA 6% tax - no rebate = $1145.00 OTD
Savings versus BFG: $207.00 by getting my Hankook's at a dealership...good luck finding that deal online because then you have to pay someone to put them on unless you do it yourself or whatever!

Check out the Nitto Trail Grappler and Goodyear DuraTrac, both are hybrid MT/AT designs that give you tough looks with better road manners. I've seen good review for both on the site.
