1999 F150 ac gives heat in summer and heater gives cold in winter
Hello,
In my 1999, 4.6L V8 F150, when I turned on the AC this past summer, I got heat regardless of the setting, and now in the winter, when I set the temperature to heat I get cold air. I get some hot air only when I place the control **** on "PANEL".
Any Ideas of where to start checking?
Thanks.

The most common failure on both trucks is the "Blendoor" in the A/C-Heater box. I would check the actuator for this door under the dash, first. If it works then the door is broken at the pivot shaft. Here's the bad news, complete removal of the dashboard is required to fix this issue. I did mine last year and it took about 12 hours in/out. There's a great U-Tube video on this repair "realfixesrealfast/f150 heater core"
