Running/clearance light power in the mirrors?
I'm installing 3 orange LED's in my grill (aka raptor lights) and for full effect I want to install an orange led in the reflectors on the fronts of my side mirrors. I was wondering if there is switched power lead in the mirror harness or not? I'm thinking there is since I've seen some tow mirrors with clearance lights on the front and my XLT already has power heated mirrors/blinkers.

Dang it sorry on a iPhone. There was 2 holes in the hood from the factory and I just had to drill 1 and made 3 little brackets that bolted right up used radio shack orange LEDs and wired up they actually sit slit fly behind the grill so in the day you can't really see them unless you look close but at night they light up good.

I've got the grill lights figured out, just wondering if there was power in the mirror harness to power the lights or not. If not its going to be a lot of extra work to feed switched running light power to both mirrors and I may just stick to the 3 lights in the grill. I'm also thinking of molding in 3 lights to the black plastic trim thats on top of the tailgate or maybe under the tail gate.

I have never seen anyone suggest this so I am not sure if it would work but I though about doing it or at least testing the idea. I did the turn signal conversion but what about pulling the power from the lighted power window power supply? What I mean is, when you turn on your lights, the power window buttons light up. Although I am guessing the switches are lower voltage, they probably have full voltage going to them. If anyone has tried this or if you try it let me know.
