Default My Platinum Screw build

After 2 years, I've finally had the time to get the truck where I want it. Between schools and deployments it has been difficult but I am finally close to where I want to be at. I hope everyone enjoys this, and likes the way it turned out too.

The truck the day I got it.

A couple months after I bought it I woke up to this.

So I took the opportunity to replace them. 285/70/17 Falken Rocky Mountains wrapped around 17x8.5 Vision Warriors with 5.71" backspacing.

Pulled a buddy out of a muddy access road after he buried his Avalanche

I was no notice deployed, but while I was gone my wife, my in-laws and my parents took care of my truck. Autospring 2.5"/3" leveling kit installed by Mikeskas Auo Care in Pasadena, TX.

With the lift/level came new shoes. 35/1250/20 Federal Couragia MTs wrapped around 20x9 Ballistic Jesters with 4.5" of backspacing/-12 offset.

Then got some FoMoCo OEM tow mirrors.

Future plans include:

PTM mirrors and door handles
Remove chrome side molding
Plasti-Dip all emblems Red and Black
Line-X bed liner

I hope y'all like it so far, still more to come.

Thanks man, they are holding up great. I've got about 2000 miles on them so far.

Thumbs up

I really like what you have done with your truck! I have a question about the wheels and tires. I basically have the same level on my black platinum and really would like to go as big as I can with the tires on 20's. I had a tire shop tell me on the phone that basically 33's were as large as I could go without rubbing. My question is, were you able to do 35's because of the backspacing and offset? If so, could you maybe explain to a layman how that works? I understand the negative offset means they stick out passed the fenders. Any info would be great! What do you plan on doing next?

Truck looks great. I have the same tires and I really like them. If I were to get rims I would like to find a set of those Jesters. I really love those rims

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I took my wheels/tires to an offroad shop and they said they didn't think they would fit but they would try. They trimmed and hid all the trimming with the factory fender flares and you can't even see any of it. I have zero rubbing now except if I turn down hill too fast.
