Wanted to let you guys know that around 47,000 miles I noticed my milage had dropped by a couple of points. Around this time I installed a 5 star tuner so I thought the tune was the cause of the milage drop. I also noticed a full throttle miss. 5 star suggested I check the plug gap and sure enough they were .040 to .043. The Fomoco replacements were all .035. Did the factory plugs come with that big of a gap? I don't believe so, I think center electrode eroded widening the gap. After their replacement, the full throttle miss was gone and my milage is back up to where it used to be. There have been a lot of threads regarding spark plugs, but based on my experience you can plan on having to replace them every 50,000 miles.

Mine with 7k miles on them were at .040. It's been show on NUMEROUS occasions that the plug gaps have been all over the place from ford. So with that being said, I doubt your plugs needed replacing.

When I bought the prepaid maintenance on my 2013 ford recommended to change the plugs at 96,000km

Without a tune, what is the recommended spark plug gap for the EB?

In 2013 it was updated to between .30 to .33 by ford. Previously it was .33 to .37.

All years are the same, use the newest.

In what, your lawn mower lol. I bet those 6.7 spark plugs are no joke to change...2 per cylinder right. <sarcasm>

The boxes are clearly labeled "DO NOT ADJUST GAP" (or something to that effect). I'm told that this is because the platinum is so soft.

You can adjust the gaps on these just like any other plug. Just don't put pressure on the electrode. I use a pair of needle nose to pry it open or just smack it lightly with the needle nose to close it. Worked like a charm.
