Hello! I am looking to put a DDM HID kit in and just wanted to make sure I get the right stuff. Looking at the HID slim ballast 35W H13/9008 Hi/Lo beam kit with a 6000K bulb color for a 2007 f150.

First off, this is getting installed into my current projector kit (will that cause any problems/melting etc...)

Next, do I need to select any of the other "extras" like harness, eliminator, adaptor cables, or mounting brackets?

Last, I believe I read a few times that many DONT buy the hi/low kit and only install the low kit.... will the hi's "Brights" not be much brighter (from my understanding it only raises the light, not making it any brighter).

Well, as I am at work for only a limited amount of time longer and got tired of staring at the order page on DDM I went ahead and placed my order for the hi/lo's. I'll be sure and update everyone with pics of install and whatnot when they get here.

If its going into an aftermarket projector housing(like spyder or recon) your high beam is a completely seperate bulb from your low beam making te high/low beam kit not usable. All you need is the single beam kit for your low beams and if you want your high beams to be hid then you need another single beam kit for them as well. The harness is a good idea also because it pulls power direct from your battery to start up your hids so you won't get the flicker.

I have ddm 55W hids is my spyder projectors with no problems. Light output is amazing compared to stock. Won't ever stay with regular bulbs again. Btw I only have them in my lows and I bought brighter highs to make up for the difference. For a while my lows were brighter than my highs haha. Just make sure you have the lows aimed well or you'll blind people. I've had mine for over a year and only gotten flashed twice.

Yeah, extensive searching yesterday lead me to them and I see that they are "based" out of California. The outsourced technical response I got when changing my order to the correct item was from "Yi Lu" in china though . I'll definitely post pics when I receive the kit and during the install. I have aftermarket projector headlights (no fogs) so it will be interesting when I dive into it. Not 100% sure if installing this kit will require me to remove my current high beams and have an empty hole in that light area or if I keep the "highs" and only use them to flash people if needed since I would imagine these HID's will be brighter than my current highs heh. WE SHALL SEE!
