Ok then in that case, again you can definitely replace the cluster but you need an interface to access the computer. A good 4wd shop should be able to do the adjustments.

No, you can reprogram it yourself by pushing those buttons and crap. I don't remember the procedure because it doesn't apply to me, but it has been posted many times.

Hey that's good info. Sure is a lot easier than changing that plastic gear. I've done it on late models but only with the computer at school. You can pretty much change anything on a late model with the factory interface.

JCMS, How do I get the button to work again? I used a pair of skinny needle nose and I can move the little pin in and out lol, but it wont cycle between odometer and trip.

I don't know, I don't have an electronic cluster. My mechanical one broke and healed itself.

My '93 has both buttons and still doesn't work right. I was able to get it to read codes for me, but the trip odometer won't cycle on.
That is nice in a way, it keeps me from obsessivly checking every tank for MPG.

keep an eye out for a cluster with mileage as close as yours and pick it up. without ripping the speedo apart you probably cant fix it.

you prob can get a speedo within 5k miles if you keep an eye out, howmany miles does your truck got?
