Default Oil change gone horribly wrong

Got an oil change at the dealer this week and the tech forgot to put on the oil cap. I drove around for a full week with the cap off. I noticed the oil dripping but assumed it was the rust treatment I had done the same day. By the time I opened the hood I was down to 5 liters. What you guys think any damage? I got the oil and the filter from the dealer so I could have it looked at by another mechanic. Should I be worried ? What would you do ?
Thanks in advance.

Top off the oil, put the cap on, hose down the oil from the engine and you should be fine. You could go back to who did the oil change, but it'll likely cost you more in gas to go there than it will for the little bit of oil to top it off.

That's an awful lot of oil to lose from a missing cap or one that became loose and fell off in such a short time. With that much gone, you should have had warning lights flashing for a long time.

no oil level warning lights. just oil pressure. you can make pressure with 1/2 a quart.

Go back to the dealer and chew some ***. Hope you still have the cap or was that lost? Not much of a tech to have not double checked his work. Hope no damage was done but still get something in writing from the dealer stating what happened.

it should be fine a 5 liter takes 8 quarts. feel free to go and rip someone a new one but just keep in mind that if you do, they'll remember you when you come back and will be hesitant to work with you.
