Default cant get the fuel filter off

help! i have tried 3 different kinds of tools to take the fuel filter off my 95 f150 and none of them have worked. can anyone give me any suggestions? I am pretty sure the fuel filter has been on there for a very long time.

Turn the fuel pumps offs, the easy way is to pull the relay. then start the engine. It will run out of gas and quit. Restart several times until it doesn't start.

where is the relay? is there an easier method than this? i already disconnected the battery, but I guess i could restart it and follow your instructions.

it was a pain in the ***, but i finally got it. the truck doesn't fit in the garage, it was about -20 with the wind, and that damn filter is tucked up in there pretty well next to the gas tank. but with the right tools it finally came off. thanks everyone!
