Engine light flashing-05' Ford F150 supercrew
I have a 2005 ford f150 supercrew 5.4 liter and when I push on the gas it acts like it's gonna stall out and die on me. The engine light is on and flashing, thought it might be some bad gas that I got. So I put in 2 bottle of heat with no improvemement. The I added some b12 still nothing. So I ranthat gas out and changed the spark plugs and the fuel filter(that was gunky with redish colored gas in it). still nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated

the flashing says it signifies an emissions issue--feels like it's missing or not getting enough fuel? Autozone suggested a spark plug change did that with no improvement

You may have a fuel injector issue mine does the same thing only at WOT,ford is offering an extended warranty on these, call your dealer and give them the VIN # to see if you are covered.

Why are you guys suggesting someone go to Autozone? Autozone should be the very very last resort of autoparts store to shop at if you are looking for a quality part. Just a little tip from someone that has been in the auto parts business for 7 years now.

Autozone will scan his truck for free. He needs to see what codes come up to properly diagnose what is going on.
I had this issue before with a flashing engine light on my wife's Lexus. It ended up being a bad coil pack. Replaced it and code was gone.

Did you figure out what it was? I have an 05 F150 just like yours and I'm having the same issue. Only with mine, the emissions light has only blinked once that I've noticed. But I have the problem of it stalling and seemingly about to die any time it needs to shift down to pull more power. I don't have the choking problem any time I'm over 2000 rpm.
