Default Using 4.6 Police Interceptor Engine In 2000 F150

Well, I recently picked up a 2002 Police Interceptor 4.6 Engine out of a Crown Victoria with 68k to put into my 2000 Ford F150. Im very Excited about this because the PI (Police Interceptor) Heads give a lot more power. The only things you need to swap to put this in is change the Intake, Exhaust, and Oil Pan. This motor has 235HP and 275ft of torque in the Crown Vic, So I should be able to get about 250HP and 300ft of torque when I put the "Bigger" F150 Intake on. I really want to get as much as possible out of this engine so If you have any suggestions please post. Thanks

there is no casting difference between the Vic motor and the other Performance Improved cylinder heads. The Vic motor is just a Romeo built motor, there is no difference. There are only 2 types of Performance Improved 2V head castings, Romeo and Windsor.

Yep, I will be getting that stuff soon. Why will I be dissapointed? This engine will have more power than my 00 4.6, so there is nothing to be dissapointed about. It'll get more HP and Torque than the stock 4.6 and with headers and tuning computer and filters should be able to get 265HP. Compare 220HP to 265HP. How much Horsepower and Torque do you think I will get? Im guessing right when I put it in I should be able to get 250HP and 300Torque and slowly build on to get the MOST out of this motor. And it is a 2WD. What do you think?

You will ove it. The only reason why I was asking was due to the fact of going to from a car to a heavy truck. There is more bulk to push and pull around. Being a two wheel drive you are lighter than a four wheeler. Catch a video of it when you get her in would ya?

Alright, I sure will. I should have It in by this weekend. But may take a little more time because I am dressing the motor out completely. Every Tube and Pipe will be taped or have stainless hoses and every Metal piece will be painted. Its gonna look nice. Ill post pictures when It is all finished. Thanks

Well, Kind of ran into a problem installing the f150 intake. The heads on the PI engine are bigger than the 97-03 f150s. So the intake for the f150's will not fit. So I'm gonna have to rig up the 02 Crown Vic Intake to work on the f150.

the ports are just different, the heads are dimensionally the same. Using a high grade gasket maker, such as the one Honda sells will fill the gaps for the water jacket.
