Default P115E Code Help

Okay so my wife's 07 F-150 5.4 is throwing a P115E code which I can't seem to find a description on anywhere. I read one site that mentioned something about the throttle body, but that's it. Does anyone know what could be causing it? The truck seems to be running fine, no CEL.

That is a code for the TB. Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Throttle Body Air Flow Trim at Max Limit

Remove the throttle body and give it a good cleaning. Use cleaner specified for cleaning throttle bodies, do no use standard carb cleaner.

That's was I thinking. The truck does have a k&n filter on it, so I thought it might be dirty. I'm thinking about putting a good ole paper filter back in there. When I take the throttle body off, is there a gasket or oring I have to have to reinstall it?

There is an o ring between the TB and the intake. Usually you can reuse it but always good to have an extra on hand. They are only a few bucks. Make sure you get the o ring and not the paper gasket. I would suggest a paper filter also. This would also be good time to clean the MAF sensor. Use the appropriate cleaner for that also. The oiled type filters tend to dirty up the MAF sensors.

THANK YOU!!!! This just saved me $100! Gave the throttle body a little bath and voila! Running like a champ again!

Thanks! I am getting the P115E error code and am heading to the auto parts store for cleaner and a new air filter.
