Default 2007 F150 Replacement Battery

Greetings and Salutations,

I drive a 2007 F150 V6, and the battery is ready to be replaced. I'm looking for a quality battery. I don't want to buy the cheapest. Can anyone recommend a good battery, and one that's made in the U.S.?

Thanks,
Jon

I run an Optima Red Top - paid $211 with Tax.

If you plan to operate a winch, air compressor, or aux lighting, then might want to consider the Yellow Top.

Optima Batteries = American Company: Johnson Controls, though some or most of their manufacturing now occurs in Mexico. Please don't buy cheaper Asian stuff or give them any market share; they'll be undercutting our companies until they drive them out of business. Glad to hear you're looking for quality and not the cheapest option.

Good deal. I don't really do much hard work with my truck. I rarely haul anything and never pull anything. I really only use it to get around town. Hopefully I can find a solid American battery.

Wait... I have called every automotive place in my area and nobody can find a direct replacement battery for my truck. It's just an 05 F150 with the 5.4, they said the Optima Yellow tops were too small for the battery tray. Is that true, or what's the Optima part number so I can get one?

It was Napa and O'Rileys that told me the "series 65" (battery it is supposed to use) was bigger than the optima yellow top. So, the yellow top fits right in, no problems? Can you possibly tell me the Optima battery # so I can get it?

-A.D.D. thought* I always knew that there was no way the parts guy knew more about MY vehicle than I did... Even with a computer they're still retarded.
