Default Lost transmission cover ecoboost

Just looked under my truck and noticed that the fiberboard cover is gone. When I put it back after the last oil change I triple checked the lousy thumbscrews.....has anyone else lost theirs?

Haven't lost mine but I'm thinking of taking it off because I do a lot of off road driving during hunting season. I don't know what the purpose of it is anyway.

Haven't lost mine yet. It's still sitting in the garage!

Mine fell half off a week after I bought my truck while driving around town in heavy slush. Dealer finished the job for me as my truck was raining and I didn't feel like getting wet. Didn't notice fuel economy difference nor noise difference.

I lost mine in my attic, the useless factory part junkyard swallowed it up! I cant believe the costs Ford has incurred in designing and adding all these covers, shields and plates under these trucks. I understand the fuel economy aspect, but everyone who's removed them hasn't seen any effects from what I've read.

It's a noise thing from what I've heard. Although I haven't noticed any increase in the cab.

If that’s the case I’ll take mine off so that i can hear it more. I really would be curious to hear what it is officially for though.

I thought it was there to catch the transmission fluid drips?

Mine fell off on the freeway and got some road rash.
Dealer thought I was 4 wheeling. They took a bunch of undercarage pictures to show Ford. Parts are on order.
