2011 F150 top speed limited?
Just did a search and didn't find any topics with this.
I was driving along the highway today and was in a hurry and people were on my nerves and ..... soooooo as soon as it opened up to 3 lanes I stomped on my 5.0 and took off. After a mile or so I felt the truck "buck", or down shift, or back off, however you want to say it. I looked and the speedo said 95.
Now I didn't even know I was going that fast as the ride was so smooth but it has me thinking, is the top speed limited to 100?

There is a limit and I think it's 100. I saw a Youtube video that showed an Ecoboost F150 zip up to the limit and then it wouldn't go any further.
If you're bored on the computer go to Youtube and lookup F-150 Ecoboost. You can see all kinds of stuff.

As well as the suspension. As long as nothing needs to happen quick running 100 mph is not that fast, but if you need to brake, turn, swerve anything abrupt you will find out 100 mph is pretty fast. I have gone down some back straights running 170-180 mph and that is fast in a car!

"NOTE: A new Oregon speeding ticket law stiffened penalties for drivers cited at speeds 100 mph and faster. A conviction carries a mandatory minimum 30 to 90 day suspension in addition to a $1,103.00 fine."
It has a speed limiter? Don't bother me none.

I got stopped by CHP (three patrol cars in fact) and they insisted I was going 120 mph in my old '03 Screw.
I laughed and said, "That's really impressive, officers, but I seriously doubt this truck can do it. Look, the speedo only goes to 100 ..."
However, I didn't know about the factory limiter. That would've ended the argument real fast.
