Speed Limiter on 2011 EB 4x4?
Anyone know if the dealer can, or a programmer yet that can lift the Speed Limiter? Here in Canada, it is set at 160kmph and it really annoys me.
BTW, I dont need people telling me I shouldnt need to go over 160kmph, I know I dont need to, but may want to.

I don't plan on driving over 100mph very often (actually never) but I did the other week and couldn't get it past 100mph as the engine seemed to cut out. At first I wasn't happy that Ford would be doing that. Looked on the forums to see if others were talking about it and sure enough they were and most were responding how stupid someone is for driving that fast. Most claiming the tires are not rated for 100mph. The factory 20" tires on mine are rated at 112mph and read somewhere that the speed ratings are for 8 hours of substained rate. Unless you are on a race track and have plenty of gas to burn, I just don't see anyone (or anywhere) you can do that for 8 hours. Was there a reason for going over 100mph, no...I was being stupid (in Texas the speed limit is 80mph in the desert and up north some areas don't have speed limits). I don't like "limits" when it is my truck and don't plan on getting a device to remove it either. I don't think someone is an idiot because they want to either and really dislike when people on this forum just don't answer the questions and give people hard times. When I was searching about the limiter, I did see post how you can remove it, so keep searching but I seriously doubt the dealer will do it for you. Unless you know someone who has one, it probably going to cost you a couple hundred to purchase one. There is some concern of warranty issues as I would only do it after 3yrs/36k miles:
