Where can i find the key code?
Hey all, where can I find the key code for my '11 f150? The manual says it comes with the truck but can't seem to find it it's an eight digit code. Thanks

its printed on a plastic business card in the manual, if you have lost that it will be printed on the module. on the 04-08 trucks it was on the back wall, not sure if they are in the same spot on the 09+ trucks, id imagine they are though...

Yup it's a plastic business card, mine was attached to my extra set of keys. Check through your manual and all the books they gave you, should be in there somewhere.

There was a little piece of paper attached to each key when new. My dealer took those two small pieces of paper and put it in the pocket on the outside of my manual package. They look like the paper out of a fortune cookie. Hope this helps.

My truck was a dealer trade. The trading dealer did not give the dealer I got it from the keycode card. My salesman noticed this when I took delivery and we talked about the door codes. He wasn't able to show me other than the basics.
I just had to take the truck to the service dept. They hooked it up to the computer and got the master code. I was then able to add my own codes.
Apparently those do get lost. I never use the door code though. The only thing I can think it being handy is if you ever lock you keys in the truck.

If you have lost all keys to the vehicle, the dealership can give you the keycode, the service manager is the only one who has sercurity access to it. You have to provide proof of ownership of the truck (like a registration and drivers license) and they will look it up by the VIN number. Then they can cut and program new keys for you. This is for keys only, if you need the keyless entry code, the dealership can look that up for you by hooking it to the computer at the dealership.
