Default 2011 plug and play remote start

I would like to add remote start to my 2011 xlt, but both dealers in the area quoted $600 for the parts plus install. It was my impression that for the 2011 it is truely plug and play, so the 5 hour install time being quoted seems very high.

Does anyone have the exact part number needed for this upgrade? I want the all in one key, no separate fob.

Thanks

Part number is BC3Z-19G364-A. It consists of a small interface module that plugs into a port on the right side of the glove box, as well as two keys that have the remote start button on them. Dealer has to reflash computer. Cost is around 230.00 here in southern Indiana. It will interface with your message screen if you have it and you can change settings from there.

Do they make a plug and play one for the 2010s?

I just spent $660 to have a python 991 installed makes me wonder y Ford is always behind the game on electronics because dodge had the extra screen in the gauge cluster an remote start factory installed on their trucks last year.

My 2011 has the factory installed remote start but I heard there was a newer series that has a much longer range and I think the remote is two-way so you know if it started or not. Is that one plug and play as well? Could I just swap out the modules and have the keys programmed?

I have that two way system.
I have same 2011 xlt 4x4 screw ecoboost, bought and installed remote start with alarm couple of month ago. I think the kit it self was almost $300 dollars with tax ( WA 9.5% ) and then I paid dealer .... $150 to have it activated. It's really easy plug and play. I don't know why they made it like this. I hated where you have to take it to dealer to be activated. I felt I was robbed.

I have the plug n' play remote start installed on my 2011 F-150 XLT. Like you, I had to educate the dealer as they had no idea that for the 2011 F-150's there was a plug and play option.

Here is some information I had contained in an email with the dealership. Hope it helps.

I ended up paying $310.86 + sales tax on the parts. Their original quote was $724 before I complained to customer service. The install did in fact take about 45 mins.

--------------------------------------

I have previously been in touch with XXXXX regarding an installation of the new for 2011 RPO Plug'n Play Remote Start Kit (Part Number: BC3Z-19G364-A) on my new 2011 Ford F-150. This is the new Ford Remote Start kit that requires plugging in the wiring harness/antenna, cutting/programming the 2 new IKT keys, and hooking up the truck to the IDS to enable the remote start. All the details on the installation are listed in the attached document. Please see F-150 EO kit (pg 195-202) in the document as there are other kits available that I am not interested in. The install should take around 45 minutes total.

The parts and installation price is listed on www.fordaccessories.com.

Check out the following link:

Remote Start System, RPO Plug'n Play Kit
Part Number: BC3Z-19G364-A
Part only: $217.14
Part w/ installation: $288.39

Additionally, my vehicle may require a hood switch, if so, there is an additional part listed at the next link.

Remote Start Hood Switch Kit
Part Number: BC3Z-19G366-A
Part only: $21.87

According to the Ford Accessories site, it looks as though the total price should be $288.39 + $21.87 for parts and labor ($310.26). If this is correct, I would like to schedule a date to get this installed.
