Ford Badge Replacement/Cover Up??
I just got my F150 and of course like so many others my FORD Emblems are bubbling and discolored and such. I'm coming from the Jeep world so I know how to use the search and have done so and saw some things suggested like overlays and what have you. But was just curious as to whats the better option: A) To buy new badges(and prob have the same thing happen again or B) Try one of these overlays from some company. Now the people who are using the overlay, did you just stick it overtop the crappy surface or was there some sort of prep/dismantling of the badge that you did??? Sorry for the long post I just bought this near perfect used F150 and the badges are such an eyesore so I'd like to fix them. Thanks for everyones help in advance.

I've heard with the Overlays you should clean the old one real good RaiderH8r89 on here has some and I know she has helped other people. I just painted mine black and left them like that. It's all about the look you are going for...

Get some 09-10 badges Will require some slight modifying but nothing serious for the front fender badges. I think the tailgate badge however is a direct mount, but don't quote me on that.

Aah alright I see just when you mentioned overlay they have them for both the badges and the ovals. Buttttt while you are upgrading the ovals, why not the badges haha?

Well thankfully my badges are 100% perfect condition as of now so no plans to replace them. The Ovals are just such eyesores as stated before. I think i'm gonna try and order a set of overlays and see how that turns out, I just gotta find out from where and if they'll make some color matching ones or something hopefully.

Bought a new one from ebay, it was about $40.00 shipped. From what i understand it was just a bad batch that peeled, not the new ones. Also for the rear i bought a $30.00 one from autozone that lights up with the brakes and stuff, but looks OEM when off

I know it's backwards
I did the same thing. I paid $35. The new ones won't peel like the ones that came on the truck. Just make sure you measure before you order a front one. Mine are both (front and back) the same size and for some reason the back ones are cheaper so I ordered a back one for the front.
