OK, the War Dept wants me to fix the air in our '97 F-150 (auto, 4.6, 2wd) before we go on a weeks vacation.

I can find a evaporator (the part in side the cab) @ AZ/discount auto) but was wondering if anyone had some tips other than the Haynes manual.

Looks like a nightmare.

Maybe someone has an excerpt out of a regular manual I can read.

It's a all day plus job the first time you do it [10hrs], next time about six. The best info is to get a Ford DVD off ebay for $10-$30 bucks. Only about 100+ 7mm screws to remove!

WOW. Thank you. So it looks like it pulls off as one unit. I was wondering how to get up next to the windshield to remove the dash. I'll have to look, 100+screws, there had got to be a better way. BUILT FORD TOUGH
