the price to do this swap is all over the place, i was looking into it a couple months ago and i kept hearing 5-8k to do the swap (into my 250 so i can keep the stock suspension) but now for less then 3k id be willing to attempt it when i buy another truck. just have to find someone to help me with the swap.

nice job though.

If u already have a 250 your good. Should be able to find a good motor and trans for around 2500 ball park. Sell your trans and the trans on the 6bt and get a nv4600 or 5600 or just use the Allison Electric fans and some fuel hose your good to go.

I want to throw a 6bt into my f150 cause it would make an awesome daily driver. I have a 1995 f150 5.0l 4x4 with 120k on it i guess i would take the engine and make a ratrod.. eventually a gas ratrod and then drop a 6bt into it and get 2.5 times to mpg since im getting 10 now awesome build and cant wait for that day to day booklet to come out

I feel ya on that I'm only getting 12 out of my 4.9. I would be happy with 15-18.

Well a quick update. Almost 15000 miles on the swap, not the first issue. Working on the ac bracket now cause summer is coming. Lol. I have decided to go with a stage 3 clutch because I'm noticing a little slippage in 5 under hard acceleration. Other then that the truck is doing good. Getting a solid 25 mpg out of her.

Actually almost 0 wiring. Couple fans, 3 alt wires, and two if you want ac. Lol that's it!
