Default Fuel injector cleaner

What does everyone use and how often? I'm buying some this evening after work. And filling up with either non-ethanol gas or 93octane with 10% or less ethanol gas. Going to try and do this at least once a month. Give me your opinions!!! Trucks got 137k miles. Also switching to royal purple oil next oil change.

I don't use fuel injector cleaner, just 93 octane fuel once every couple months..... you got 137k miles. Have you ever cleaned your throttle body? Mine has 88k and I got my throttle body replaced recently, the throttle plate and cylinder were black. The new throttle body definitely increased throttle response and helped fuel economy

Lol sounds like a good idea, I work for a ford dealer and we use a brand called moc. They sell a kit. it comes with throttle body cleaner, injector cleaner and fuel system cleaner. You can easily clean the throttle body and put in the fuel system cleaner in the gas tank, just be careful when you put the throttle body back on to tighten the bolts down snug. If you crank on them too much it will crack the case, if you wish to have the fuel injector flush done have them do it because a expensive piece of equipment is needed to do the flush

Fuel additive has always scared me. something seemed, wrong with tampering with it. i think just high octane gas with no ethonal every few fillups is plenty good. Personally I make a point to use 91 octance (with no ethanol) full time. To me, that is the best route. But what a crappy forum it would be if we all had the same opinions!

While yes a can of seafoam once a month is much cheaper than filling up with high octane fuel..... especially with how big our fuel tanks are, putting something in the tank other than gasoline is not something I wanna do

Well I put a can of seafoam (11.99) and filled up the tank with super unleaded non-ethanol gas (87$) I wouldn't have done the seafoam but I don't know anything or other way to clean my injectors and other internals

If you or know someone that races use the leftover race fuel in the truck! We run quads with our neighbor and are in the Production A and B class and use 110-112 octane fuel! couple gallons of that it cleans out the truck real good

Lucas.

It works! Use it on a half tank though.

BTW octane doesn't clean anything. It's an additive to prevent detonation due to its higher flash point.
