Hi. Not to bother you too much, but I wanted to clarify exactly what year Ford changed from the 3 pump system to the 2 pump system. I figure 90 or 91 but...Figured you're the guy to ask.

Hi, I sent you a friend request after reading some of your older posts and noticing that you have a 87 f-150, same as I do. I don't have any questions right now, but your older posts have definitely helped me out. Thanks!

Hay Sean, I am going to attempt the Saginaw ps pump swap. I see you did one a few years back. Couple questions: based on the thread, I'm under the impression that you used the e150 pressure hose and the f150 return hose. is that correct? also, does the new pump take the same kind of ps fluid as the old? Thanks a bunch

Hello, I was looking at older posts trying to find out how to check transmission fluid on my truck and saw a comment you made about a 5 speed tranny. Looking only at my gear shift knob, it reads 1,2,3,4, OD and R. 6 shifting spots. I reasoned it was 5 speed but a poster on this forum said it was 4 speed with overdrive. Can you help me with both my questions. Thank you. In case my signature doesn't show up, I have a 1992 F150, 300 I6, 4.9

    Need Help!!
Just dropped in a reman 351W in place of my cracked 302. Everything is ready to go, but when putting in distributor, I was 3 teeth off. Well, I did one tooth at a time. Moved one tooth cc, cranked the motor, almost started. Pulled distributor, one tooth cc, cranked motor, even closer to starting. Moved one more tooth cc, went to crank motor, and nothing. Starter couldn't hardly move flex plate. Thinking assembly lube burnt off on 2nd attempt, and pistons are dry. Tried starting fluid, but without motor spinning for rpm sensor to send spark, didn't help. Tried Marvel Mystery oil poured through spark plug holes, made little difference. Anything you can think of short of tearing the motor back apart that I could try or do to get the rings lubed back up enough to get the motor started so the oil pump can take over?
