Son had just put 20 bucks of gas and got onto the Freeway when a few miles later the F150XL died on him. He called me (Dad) thinking it was the battery, don't know why cause to me it didn't resemble a battery problem. So I got to his location and hooked it up to charge from my
car but did the same thing only clicked but did not crank, thinking something to do with the Starter or Fuel. How can I tell? ThankYou

A starter issue wouldn't cause the truck to die on the highway. I would look at the charging system first. Given you're having some issues starting the truck after the fact as well leads me to believe it may be something like a loose or bad ground.
