Finished overhaul of 2016 SCREW with RideTech gear. Handling is amazing.
Ordered from the dealer in 2016. 2.7 Eco, 4x4, Sport. Original upgrades were 2" leveling coilovers, bigger rear blocks, 20" wheels/33" tires, Anzo black HID projectors, Morimoto black fogs. Fast forward 8 years and I was thinking of trading in, but it's paid off and only has 34K miles. So I had an idea of lowering it a bit and putting some upgraded suspension in to make it handle sportier and have less body roll. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I've always loved the street truck look going back to the OG Ford Lightning and Chevy Southern Comfort. Too many lifted trucks and studded wheels in my neck of the woods imo. One thing lead to another and I basically did a complete overhaul to include paint correction and ceramic coating. HIGHLY recommend that upgrade unless you do paint protection film (PPF) instead. Truck is basically like new, gets a lot of compliments and I hope to enjoy it another decade at least.
New upgrades:
- Asanti 22" wheels
- RideTech adjustable lowering kit with coilovers and control arms (went with minimums, didn't want to slam)
- RideTech rear sway bar
- RideTech traction bars
- Borla S type dual exhaust
- Morimoto XB Black LED lights
- Morimoto black rear brake light
- Functional ram air hood (old hood was pretty scratched up)
- K&N open CAI to take advantage of ram air hood
- Intercooler
- 91 octane performance tune
- Precision gapped plugs
- Raptor steering wheel with padle shifters
- T-Rex black billet grill
- Putco black lower grill
- Front splitter (removed my front shackles to fit properly)
- Paint correction and ceramic coat
- 3M vinyl graphics in olympic blue

How did the Borla exhaust turn out in your opinion? The 2.7 Ecoboost seems to be impossible to get to sound anything more than a 4 banger rice racer, just like most other V6 engines. I think the height is just right as I've seen too many long body trucks lowered way too low in my opinion. LOVE the hood.

Great looking truck and I really like the stance. That front splitter compliments it nicely too. Funny thing is I just got my 19 SCREW last month and I’m still trying to get used to gauging the front parking distance. I pull into places, think I’m close to the curb and get out only to realize I’m still like 18”-24” away. I’d be safe in yours not smacking the splitter, lol.
